Belgian-Iranian composer and former student Houman Khalaj has been selected as an international participant for the 20th edition of SoundMine, an international composition workshop hosted by Musica - Impulse Centre for Music. His piece, 'Lullaby for Children of Syria,' caught the attention of the organizers. Under the intensive mentorship of renowned composers such as Professor Wim Henderickx, Khalaj will receive coaching to further develop his musical prowess. The Antwerp Symphony Orchestra will perform Khalaj's composition during the celebratory Showcase of SoundMine on May 14th."
