"Zarathustra No.1"

"Zarathustra No.1" Excerpt from 'Women, Life, Freedom,' performed by the Euro-Persian Art Ensemble at Bozar Concert Hall, Brussels, on September 23, 2023.

Originally composed for a symphony orchestra, "Zarathustra" was arranged for a smaller setting and performed by the Euro-Persian Art Ensemble with soprano Kamelia Dara and the Serenata Vocale choir, conducted by David Navarro Turres. This performance supported the Women-Life-Freedom movement.

"Lullaby for Children of Syria"

Performed by the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Wim Henderickx, on May 14, 2019, at "De Singel," Antwerp, Belgium.

This piece by Houman Khalaj is dedicated to children affected by war. It blends Persian and Western musical elements, expressing emotions like hope, anger, and comfort. The composition, performed at the SoundMine project, reflects the composer’s memories and cultural heritage. Special thanks to Wim Henderickx, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and Musica for this meaningful performance.
